Yasmin Tijani

As a painter and commissioned artist, my work ranges from tackling the idea of Black self-love in the face of Eurocentric standards of beauty, the relationship between body image and confidence as well as more nuanced concepts like commentating on art through the ages.

Through a preferred method of oil paints, I have developed my distinct painting style and focuses on abstract and conceptual pieces. I have exhibited work with Anusa Creatives, Melbourne Festival for Emerging Artists, Playing The Race Card and have been featured on ITV.
